A termite feast
John Rippy, owner of Rippy Construction, holds a termite-riddled post he removed from an entrance to the Mental Health Kokua building in Wailuku on Wednesday morning. “The termites built a nest in it,” he said. Rippy was replacing the doors and doorway along Vineyard Street. He said while the building was sound, the doorway had been built with untreated wood.
