Dui Sentences

THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of July 13 to 20. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Zelie Beck, 36, Kahului; DUI (two counts, third offenses within five years), accidents involving damage to vehicle or property, inattention to driving (two counts), driving after license suspended or revoked for DUI (four counts), no insurance, reckless driving (two counts); 30-day jail term, $2,500 in fines, plus fees, five-year license revocation.

Julian Boynton, 42, Makawao; DUI (with passenger under age 15 in vehicle), second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, reckless driving; five-day jail term, $500 fine, plus fees, two-year license revocation.

Karsen Cramer, age unavailable, Kihei; DUI; $150 fine, plus fees.

Vernon Kaaihue, 44, Kahului; DUI; $150 fine, $437 in fees.

Dustin Leblanc, 29, Kula; DUI; $150 fine, plus fees.

Lahaina District Court:

Calvin Chapital, 21, Kihei; DUI, lack of due care; $200 in fines, $437 in fees.

Joseph Kulukulualani, 34, Napili; DUI; lack of due care; $250 in fines, plus fees, two-year license revocation.

Ana Karen Macias, 28, Napili; DUI, second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, lack of due care; $700 in fines, plus fees.

Lanai District Court:

John Kimo Ganer, 57, Lanai City; DUI; $150 fine, plus fees.
