Candidate night set by Haiku, Paia groups

Rescheduled event planned Wednesday

A candidate night hosted by the Haiku Community Association and Paia Town Association has been rescheduled to Wednesday, the association announced.

The event will take place at the Haiku Community Center. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the meeting will run from 6:30 to.

The associations have invited the candidates for Maui County mayor; Maui County Council seats representing Makawao-Haiku-Paia, East Maui and Upcountry; and the state House of Representatives District 13.

Candidates will answer written questions from the audience about topics important to the communities of Haiku, Huelo, Kuau and Paia. The moderator will present the questions, which will be collated.
