Delayed by poor weather, road resurfacing work in Haiku will restart next week, the county Department of Public Works said.

The work will begin at the intersection of Awalau and Kaupakalua roads and will involve asphalt resurfacing, leveling and overlay. The work is set for 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays, from Monday to Oct. 23. During work hours, motorists should be attentive, patient and anticipate delays.

Residents will have limited access to and from properties within the work zone. They will be notified directly.
