Reminders for voting on Tuesday
The Maui News
Polls will open starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday as voters statewide cast their final ballots for county, state and congressional races.
Polling places will close at 6 p.m., though anyone in line at that time will still be allowed to vote.
Voters are reminded to bring a form of identification, including a valid photo ID, a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck or other government-issued document that shows the person’s name and address.
Qualified residents may still register and vote in the general election if they are a U.S. citizen, Hawaii resident and at least 18 years old. Voters registering at Election Day polling places may experience increased wait times in order to complete a registration affidavit form and await confirmation that they are at the correct polling place.
Voters can find their polling places by visiting elections.hawaii.gov or by calling 453-VOTE (8683). The Office of Elections website also offers sample ballots and election results.
