Veterans eat for free Monday in Paia
Rock & Brews in Paia will be serving free meals to veterans, military personnel and first responders in honor of the Veterans Day holiday today.
The restaurant will offer a choice of either a complimentary pulled pork sandwich with a side dish or a strawberry fields salad. An employee said that the Paia restaurant started providing free meals to veterans on Sunday. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Rock & Brews locations across the country are raising funds throughout November for the United Service Organizations, a nonprofit supporting military service members and their families.
On Sunday, KISS frontman Gene Simmons planned to host a sneak preview event at a Rock & Brews in Los Angeles, where he and USO President Bob Kurkjian were scheduled to serve veterans, military and first responders. Rock & Brews was founded by Simmons, KISS frontman Paul Stanley, Michael Zislis, Dave Furano and Dell Furano.
