Dui Sentences

THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of Nov. 26 to 29. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Joseph Bathin, 36, Wailuku; DUI (second offense within five years); $500 fine, $462 in fees, 240 hours of community service.

Lance Maeda, 52, Pukalani; DUI; $500 fine, plus fees.

Kaya McConnell, 20, Haiku; DUI, lack of due care; $350 in fines, $444 in fees, 72 hours of community service.

Anson Ponce, 51, Kula; DUI; $300 fine, $437 in fees.

Tracie Sweetman, 46, Kihei; DUI; $150 fine, $437 in fees.

Lahaina District Court:

John Joseph Donohue, age unavailable, Hana; DUI, lack of due care; $250 in fines, plus fees.
