Hawaiian Telcom aids fed workers
Hawaiian Telcom is offering assistance to any federal government employee who is affected by the government shutdown by allowing workers to defer payments and not charging late fees, the company announced this week.
Affected employees can submit a request to defer payment by visiting hawaiiantel.com, then clicking on “residential” and then clicking on “support.” Then see “special announcements.” Customers may also call 643-3456.
Hawaiian Telcom will also waive all late fees for up to 30 days after the end of the U.S. federal government shutdown.
