Glen Lacy and Patricia Roberts of Drum and Dance of Passion provide a rousing African beat for participants and spectators at the start of Saturday morning’s Pacific Whale Foundation Run & Walk for Whales in Maalaea. The Kihei duo has been supporting the foundation’s whale celebrations for years. “To get people motivated and high-energy to get through this run,” Lacy said. “It’s a lovely day, a beautiful event.”
