Work continues on the the $34 million, 165-unit Kahului Lani senior affordable rental housing development in Kahului on Wednesday. Ground was broken in November for the nearly 4-acre project bordered by South Kane, Vevau and School streets, and situated between Kahului Foodland and Kahului Public Library. It is being developed by Catholic Charities Housing Development Corp. The first phase featuring a six-story building with 82 units is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
