Dui Sentences

THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of April 16 to 18. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Paulino Barut, 62, Kahului; DUI; $150 fine, plus fees.

Jose De Jesus Dominguez Vasquez, 51, Kihei; DUI (second offense within five years), driving without a license; $700 in fines, $462 in fees, 240 hours of community service, 18-month license revocation.

William Mawae-Spence, 25, Kula; DUI; $150 fine, plus fees.

Ryan Mulcahy, 31, Wailuku; DUI, lack of due care; $250 in fines, $444 in fees.

Lanai District Court:

Shiro Sigrah, 38, Lanai City; DUI, lack of due care; $350 in fines, $454 in fees.
