Comedy show to benefit keiki

Andy Bumatai will perform a comedy show at 9 p.m. Saturday at Nalu’s South Shore Grill in Kihei, 1280 S. Kihei Road. Tickets are $20 and available at Nalu’s. Proceeds will benefit Pacific Cancer Foundation’s Keiki Fund.

The show is presented by Nalu’s and Street Bikers United Maui.


Hospice Maui receives award

Hospice Maui has been named a 2019 Hospice Honors recipient.

This prestigious annual review recognizes hospices that provide the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view.

Hospice Honors acknowledges high-performing agencies by analyzing performance of Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems quality measures. For more information, contact Dr. Greg LaGoy at 244-5555.


Doctor recognized for leadership

The American Association for Physician Leadership awarded Dr. Colleen F. Inouye Fellowship status on May 4 in Washington, D.C.

The association has over 11,000 members and has helped physicians develop their leadership skills for the past 40 years through education, thought leadership, and providing a supportive community of peers.

Inouye was recognized for her leadership skills as the Maui director of the Hawaii Independent Physicians Association, assisting local community and statewide organizations, and past leadership roles at Maui Memorial Medical Center.
