High-surf advisory up
A high-surf advisory is up for south-facing shores of all islands until 6 p.m. today, the National Weather Service said.
Surf is expected to build to 6 to 9 feet and hold through the day, the weather service said.
Expect moderate to strong breaking waves and shore break and rip currents in the ocean.
It was another 90-degree day Friday with an overnight low of 66 degrees.
The forecast for today in the Central Valley is sunny with high temperatures around 88 degrees and overnight lows between 66 and 71 degrees. Northeasterly winds are expected to blow 15 mph.
