MECO vehicle auction scheduled

Maui Electric Co. will be holding a silent auction for its retired vehicles from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday on the front lawn of the utility’s parking lot.

Eight vehicles will be on display at 210 W. Kamehameha Ave. in Kahului. A security guard at the site will assist customers.

All vehicles will be sold as is and may be inspected but not driven. There are no expressed or implied warranties, and vehicle maintenance records will not be provided. There are no upset prices on the vehicles, MECO said.

A signed bid form may be submitted via email to austin.cho@mauielectric.com, placed in a locked bid box at the sale site, or faxed to 871-2331 by 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Bidders may submit more than one bid per vehicle. Current highest bids will be updated throughout the auction days on a status board at the site. Highest bidders will be notified Thursday with payment due by noon June 14.
