Rummage sale at Kahului church

Kahului Full Gospel Temple in Kahului will have a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 1 Kunihi Lane (near Roselani Place on South Papa Avenue).

Sale items will include household goods, clothing and plants.

This fundraiser is to send young people on a mission to the Philippines.


Cooking class for caregivers

The Alzheimer’s Aloha Chapter will host a class about healthy food for the brain from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday at the HMSA Center in the Pu’unene Shopping Center, 70 Hookele St. in Kahului.

The class includes a free healthy meal for caregivers. It will explore the Mediterranean diet and include a live cooking demo by staff from That’s a Wrap in Kihei.

This class is made possible by a grant to the Alzheimer’s Aloha Chapter from the Wailea Community Association. Registration is required as space is limited to 25 people. To register, contact Christine Spencer at (808) 591-2771 ext. 8235 or cespencer@alz.org.

Ballroom dance registration set

The Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association will have its second of two second-quarter registrations for Beginning East Coast Swing and Silver Foxtrot on Monday at the Velma McWayne Santos Community Center in Wailuku between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. and briefly during intermission.
