2 men arrested following fight
Two men were arrested for attacking a 29-year-old man during a large fight outside a Wailuku bar early Saturday, police said.
Wailuku patrol officers responded to the 1:35 a.m. call reporting the fight fronting Saigon Palace at 310 Hookahi St., said Maui police spokesman Lt. John Sang. He said officers discovered that the 29-year-old had been attacked by two other men.
The victim was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries and released, Sang said.
A 38-year-old Kahului man and a 35-year-old Lahaina man were arrested in the attack, police said. The two were released after the prosecutor’s office declined prosecution pending further investigation.
Sang said a weapon was involved in the attack, which remains under investigation.
