Ninja warriors in training

Thirty-seven kids, ages 5 to 11, jumped, swung, crawled and leapt through an indoor obstacle course, competing in gender and age categories for prizes and trophies at the semiannual event.

Third photo: Eight-year-old Dakotah Buzianis rolled to a second-place finish in the girls 8-10 division earlier this month. Maui keiki can try running the gauntlet during a monthly Ninja Night, which includes the obstacle course, pizza, games and no parents. The next event is scheduled 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 7 at Makena CrossFit. More information is available at mauitumblers.com.
