Unique tea set donated for fundraiser

The 21-piece Satsuma pottery set from Japan was donated to the event’s estate sale by the Standing family. Valerie Standing said the tea set was purchased for her parents by her merchant marine uncle in 1941. She said all proceeds from the bazaar, which featured plate lunches, baked goods, crafts and plants for sale, were to be donated to the church for new windows, screens and doors.
