Families can cut their Christmas tree

A Boy Scouts fundraiser Saturday will allow people to cut their own Norfolk pine from the forest of the Camp Maluhia area.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the camp, near Kahakuloa at 3450 Kahekili Highway.

Tree sizes vary from 2 to 30 feet. The cost is $5 per foot.

Scouts will be on hand to assist families in locating, cutting and safely securing a tree on their vehicle.

Proceeds from the event will be used to send 40 Maui Scouts to the 2021 National Scout Jamboree in West Virginia.

For more information, call the Boy Scouts of America Maui County District Scout Office at 244-3724.
