Refuse collection bills can be paid online
A 2.35 percent convenience fee will be added to the payment total

County refuse collection payments now can be made by debit and credit cards from web-enabled devices, the county Department of Environmental Management Solid Waste Division announced Thursday.
A 2.35 percent convenience fee will be added to the payment total.
The cost of residential trash collection is $396 annually on Maui and Molokai and $204 annually on Lanai. 3 Can Plan routes are $528 annually.
Payments may be made to client.pointandpay.net/web/MauiSolidWasteDivision.
Billing statements for refuse collection for Jan. 1-June 30 have been mailed out and are due by Dec. 31.
Bills also may be paid in-person from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays, at the Solid Waste Division Office in the One Main Plaza Building, Suite 200. They also may be paid at the Department of Finance, Division of Motor Vehicles and Licensing offices until Dec. 31.
Checks can be deposited in a drop box located at the Solid Waste Division Office from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. After-hour drop-offs will be processed the following business day, excluding holidays.
For payments sent through the mail, customers are asked to enclose the remittance slip along with the check payment using the envelope provided with the billing statement. If there is no remittance slip or customers did not receive the bill, mail checks directly to the Solid Waste Division Office at One Main Plaza, 2200 Main St., Suite 200, Wailuku 96793. To ensure proper credit to the account, write the service address and/or account number on the check.
