A fire in a studio unit in Napili on Monday afternoon displaced a woman and caused about $50,000 in damage to the room and contents, Maui fire officials said.

Two engines, a ladder company and a battalion chief responded to a 3:40 p.m. call of a structure fire on Mahinahina Street, Fire Services Chief Rylan Yatsushiro said. When they arrived on scene, they found a fire in a studio unit of a residence.

Firefighters confirmed all occupants were out of the structure and quickly contained the fire to the unit and got it under control, Yatsushiro said.

There were no injuries. An adult woman was displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
