March of Life set for Jan. 25

The eighth Maui March for Life will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Jan. 25 in Kahului.

The march runs from the corner of Kane Street and Kaahumanu Avenue, across of the Maui Beach Hotel, proceeds along Kaahumanu Avenue, and turns down Puunene Avenue to Christ the King Church. The march is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Maui Councils and Christ the King Respect Life Ministry.

Marchers will meet in the parking lot of Christ the King Church, where they will be shuttled to the march starting point. There will be sign-waving until 9:30 a.m. when the march starts. The program at Christ the King starts at 10:15 a.m. and ends at noon.

The Rev. Brad and Esther McDaniel, the founders of the Harvest Family Life Ministries of Hawaii, will be the keynote speakers. They will be discussing alternatives to abortions, like adoption and foster care programs.
