Solis new head of school at Maui Prep
Miguel Solis has been named head of school for Maui Preparatory Academy.
He comes from Sacred Hearts School in Lahaina, where he was principal from 2018.
Solis began his career at Our Lady of Loretto in Los Angeles in 2008 as a middle-school teacher and dean of discipline, followed by four years teaching at Chaminade College Preparatory, where he also served on the Accreditation Leadership Team Committee.
“On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we are elated to welcome Dr. Solis as our next head of school,” said Jim Bozich. “His experience, expertise and leadership will further expand on the vision supported by new facilities, infrastructure and technology that is transforming the educational experience on the Maui Prep campus.”
“Maui Prep is a remarkable school providing opportunities for academic achievement and enrichment for motivated and often under-resourced West Maui students and their families,” said Solis. “As I graduated from USC, this was one aspect I always wanted to venture into, providing ample opportunities for our youth not only in the innovative ways they learn but also to be able to dream and bring those dreams to fruition with the colleges or universities they hope to enroll in.”
