Statewide cases of COVID-19 rise to 95
The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Hawaii rose to 95 on Wednesday, according to the state Department of Health.
There were six new cases, including four more on Oahu for a total of 68, one more on Maui for a total of 13 and one more on Kauai for a total of five. Hawaii island did not see an increase and still has five cases. There were also five cases with locations pending.
Of Maui’s cases, 10 have been residents, many returning home from trips to the U.S. Mainland or abroad, and three have been visitors.
Across the state, five cases total have required hospitalization. There have been no deaths so far, after the state retracted its announcement Monday evening that an Oahu resident who died Friday had COVID-19. Later tests revealed that the patient did not have the virus.
