Statewide cases grow to 387, deaths up to 5
Sixteen new cases of COVID-19 and a fifth death have been reported in Hawaii as of noon Monday.
The latest death was an older Maui resident with underlying health conditions, Maui County Mayor Michael Victorino announced Monday morning.
Previously, all deaths in the state had been on Oahu.
With the 16 new cases — 11 in Honolulu County, one each in Maui, Hawaii and Kauai counties and two cases with locations pending — Hawaii is now up to 387 total cases.
There are now 292 cases in Honolulu County, 44 in Maui County, 23 in Hawaii County and 17 in Kauai County, with residences pending in nine cases and two residents diagnosed outside of Hawaii.
Of the total cases, 26 have required hospitalization, five have died and 89 have been released from isolation.
