$500,000 bail in attempted murder
Bail is set at $500,000 for a man charged with attempted murder of a woman during an argument at a Lahaina residence last week.
In addition to second-degree attempted murder, Kejet Jibon, 56, of Lahaina is charged with second-degree assault, first-degree terroristic threatening and abuse.
Police said the 46-year-old victim suffered several injuries that weren’t life threatening after being assaulted with a knife when an argument between her and Jibon turned physical. She was treated at Maui Memorial Medical Center.
Police were called to the residence on Nahale Place at 5:36 p.m. Wednesday.
