Nine COVID-19 cases reported statewide

Nine new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state as of noon today, according to the Hawaii Department of Health.

The department corrected discrepancies in laboratory reporting by adding four older cases to the total– two in Honolulu County, one on Maui, and one on Kauai. One case was also removed from Oahu.

Maui County now has 121 cases, Oahu has 431, Kauai has 21, and Hawaii Island remains at 81, bumping the state total to 664 cases.

The state Department of Health also updated the total from the released from isolation category, increasing the count to 614 people. Those who required hospitalization remains at 83 people.

There have been 17 deaths — six on Maui and 11 on Oahu.
