21 new cases reported, including one on Maui
The state Department of Health reported 21 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, following a record-breaking Saturday of 42 new cases.
The latest cases brought the statewide total to 1,220, including 923 on Oahu, 134 in Maui County, 101 on Hawaii island and 43 on Kauai. There have been 19 residents diagnosed outside of Hawaii.
One case was removed from Oahu’s count due to updated lab information, the DOH said.
Of the total cases, 890 have been released from isolation, 125 have required hospitalization and 19 have died, including six on Maui and 13 on Oahu.
