Free supply of PPE for nonprofits available

The Maui News

Free personal protection equipment for Maui County nonprofit organizations is available through the Maui United Way over the next six months.

The Maui United Way received a grant from Hawai’i Community Foundation to purchase PPE materials to help nonprofit groups keep their staff, offices and clients safe and healthy. Items are being purchased over the next few months for distribution over the next six months.

To receive the PPE:

• The organization must be a nonprofit.

• Masks are required when entering the United Way office for pickup.

• Pickups need to be scheduled so multiple agencies will not be in the office at the same time.

United Way will sanitize contact areas in between pickups.

To schedule a pickup, email angela@mauiunitedway.org. For more information, call 244-8787.

“With these funds we’ve been able to provide a much-needed service that allows our community’s nonprofits to continue to provide for our ‘ohana in a safe and healthy manner,” said United Way President and CPO Nicholas Winfrey.
