Four arrested in robbery at Kahului hotel

Four people have been arrested in an investigation into the robbery of a guest Tuesday morning at a Kahului hotel, police said.

The robbery occurred at about 10:30 a.m. when the guest reported that three people he didn’t know entered the room with a knife and stole his property from the room, police said. No injuries were reported.

The suspects fled in a blue Dodge sedan.

Police records indicate the incident took place at the Maui Beach Hotel.

Officers responding to the robbery obtained the vehicle’s license plate and identified and arrested three suspects involved, police said.

On Tuesday, a 40-year-old Waiehu man was arrested at 4:01 p.m., a 37-year-old Waihee man was arrested at 4:02 p.m. and a 29-year-old Wailuku woman was arrested at 6:49 p.m. for investigation of first-degree robbery and first-degree theft, police said.

On Thursday, a 35-year-old Wailuku woman was arrested for investigation of the same charges.

All four were in police custody Thursday. None had been charged as of Thursday afternoon.

The investigation was continuing, police said.
