Renewable energy update set for Tuesday
Progress being made on Maui on renewable energy will be discussed Tuesday during a virtual community meeting organized by Hawaiian Electric.
The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Because of pandemic safety precautions that include social distancing, this meeting was moved to a virtual format at www.hawaiianelectric.com/communitymeetings. The meeting will be conducted via WebEx, an online video platform, accessible from a mobile device, landline telephone or computer.
The meeting also will be aired live on Akaku Maui Community Media Channel 54 and the Hawaiian Electric Facebook page. Participants will be polled on various topics with the results posted during the meeting.
The panelists, who will discuss current and future renewable energy efforts on Maui, are Sharon Suzuki, president of Maui County and Hawai’i Island utilities, and Rebecca Dayhuff-Matsushima, director of renewable acquisition for the utility.
Participants may ask questions during the meeting. Questions also may be emailed in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This session will be recorded and available for viewing after the meeting.
