Electric company to inspect power lines

Hawaiian Electric will be using a helicopter for routine aerial power line inspections from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Upcountry and Central Maui area, weather permitting.

Routine aerial inspections of Hawaiian Electric’s equipment, including electrical lines, poles and substations, are necessary to maintain stable and reliable electrical service for the Maui County community, the utility said in a news release Tuesday.
