DOH reports 153 new cases, six deaths

The state Department of Health reports 153 new COVID-19 cases as of noon today, including 66 on Oahu, 30 on Maui, 16 on Hawaii island and seven residents diagnosed outside the state.

Of the six new fatalities, five deaths were reported on Oahu and one was on Maui, according to DOH. Details pending.

There have now been 25,154 cases statewide, including 20,436 on Oahu, 2,122 in Hawaii County, 1,605 on Maui, 177 on Kauai, 106 on Lanai and 25 on Molokai. DOH reports 683 Hawaii residents diagnosed outside of the state. As a result of updated information, two cases from Oahu were recategorized to Hawaii island, and one case from Oahu and another from the Hawaii Island were removed from the counts.

There have now been 342 deaths, including 271 fatalities on Oahu, 46 on Hawaii island, 21 on Maui, one on Kauai, and three Hawaii residents who died on the Mainland.
