Broken water line affects Paia
A water main break left more than 1,000 customers and 50 businesses in Paia with little or no water pressure on Friday, the county said.
Department of Water Supply crews were making repairs and were expected to finish before 9 p.m. Friday, according to a news release.
The Kaunoa Senior Center at 401 Alakapa Place in Spreckelsville was closed as of 1:30 p.m. because the facility had no water service. It was scheduled to reopen Monday.
After water is restored, residents and businesses may see brown water and should flush their lines by running water from faucets before using, the county said.
