Judicial application deadline extended

The deadline has been extended to May 10 to apply for an anticipated vacancy for a 10-year term as a 2nd Circuit Court judge.

The person selected must be a Hawaii resident and U.S. citizen and be licensed to practice law in the state. A circuit judge must have been licensed to practice law for at least 10 years.

The annual salary is $209,088.

Anyone interested in applying can go online to the Judicial Selection Commission website at www.courts.state .hi.us/courts/judicial_selection_commission and fill out the application for judicial office form JS-P-084.

Applications must be postmarked on or before the deadline and mailed to: Commission Chair Nadine Y. Ando, Judicial Selection Commission, State of Hawaii, 417 S. King St., Honolulu 96813.
