No COVID cases active at jail
No active COVID-19 cases were reported Thursday at the Maui Community Correctional Center, according to the state Department of Public Safety.
The department had announced one new case on April 19 after going nearly a week without an active case.
Since Feb. 1, when the first COVID case was reported at the Wailuku jail, 95 inmates and two staff members have recovered after contracting the virus, the department reported.
There were 199 inmates in quarantine at the jail Thursday.
