St. Anthony School has launched an executive transition search committee to find a new head of school for the 2021-22 academic year.
Current Head of School Tim Cullen recently informed the St. Anthony School Board of Directors that he will be moving after this year, “due to ongoing medical and health issues with parents, the impact of limited access and availability to family during the pandemic and the need to be more directly involved with family matters,” Cullen told the board.
The SAS Board of Directors has also engaged Partners in Mission, a Catholic professional education search firm, to assist in the transition process, according to a news release.
Cullen was hired in 2017 as the first head of school for the campus. During Cullen’s tenure, the school has implemented different programs and reached a number of goals, including sustaining and increasing enrollment by 16 percent; adding a “STREAM” focus of science, technology, religion, engineering, arts and math curriculum; and continuing a 100 percent graduation and college acceptance rate, according to the news release.
The Catholic school in Wailuku offers faith-based education from preschool to grade 12. It is an accredited college preparatory educational institution.
