Funds to help with Haiku flood recovery
The Haiku Community Association is offering grants of up to $300 to Haiku residents who were directly hurt by major flooding in March and are in need of funds to recover.
The grant cycle will begin with an in-person sign-up, with masks required, from 2 to 5 p.m. May 8 at the Kalanikahua Hou Church at 2890 Hana Highway. Applications will be processed on a first-come basis while the funds last, and can be accessed from the community association website after the in-person sign-up period.
Grants were made possible by funding from the Nuestro Futuro Foundation, according to a news release.
