Financial literacy workshop offered
Maui Economic Opportunity’s Business Development Center will host a free financial literacy workshop for adults on Zoom from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Workshop topics include understanding spending tendencies, realistic budgeting and saving strategies, basic investment terminology and information, basic consumer lending information, strategies and tools for financial well-being during COVID-19 and understanding personal credit, credit reports, FICO score and identity theft.

Heritage Hall to reopen on June 1
Heritage Hall is scheduled to reopen on June 1 and will operate in accordance with the county’s COVID-19 guidelines.
The meeting facilities have been shuttered since July of 2020. When it reopens, the hall capacity will be limited to 35 people. The hall normally subdivides into two separate rooms; however, this will no longer be allowed and users must reserve the entire hall for five hours of use. The fee is $70.
The hall’s two conference rooms will each accommodate a maximum of five people. The fee for each conference room is $35 for five hours of use.
Masks and social distancing are required in the meeting facilities. Heritage Hall is located at 401 Baldwin Ave. in Paia.
