Maui County schools report 9 COVID cases
Nine cases of COVID-19 were confirmed among students in Maui County schools last week, according to the state Department of Education.
Three cases were confirmed on April 26, followed by another case on April 27 and four other cases on Thursday, the DOE said Friday. One case in a student who has not been on campus this year was confirmed on April 27.
All cases were in the Baldwin-Kekaulike-Maui Complex, which has seen 93 cases since June 26. No cases were reported over the past week in the Hana-Lahainaluna-Lanai-Molokai Complex, which has had 58 total cases over the same period.
Last week, Oahu schools had 29 confirmed cases, while Kauai schools had 10 and Hawaii island had none.
DOE facilities have reported a total of 805 cases statewide since June 26.
