County pools to accept walk-ins soon; reserving system will end
Public use of all Maui County pools will no longer require a phone reservation starting July 1, the county Department of Parks and Recreation announced Friday.
The current phone reservation system was put in place last year because of COVID-19 health and safety restrictions.
Pools will reopen for modified public use to include all ages on July 1. Facilities will allow for walk-ins only, and there will be a maximum number of swimmers at any one time. Specific maximum swimmer numbers will be posted at each pool.
Children ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. All pool patrons must observe 6 feet of social distancing.
