Dui Sentences

THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of June 15 to 25. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Shaka Batson, 34, Kahului; DUI (second offense), operating a vehicle after license revoked for operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant, inattention to driving; seven-day jail term, $1,450 in fines, plus fees, two-year license revocation.

Joseph Domingo, 62, Kahului; DUI, resisting an order to stop a motor vehicle; three-day jail term, $950 in fines, plus fees.

Michael Duncan, 28, Haiku; DUI, driving without a license, lack of due care; $700 in fines, plus fees.

Kalai Kemfort, 25, Haiku; DUI (second offense), driving without a license, child passenger seat violation (two counts); $1,450 in fines, plus fees, 240 hours of community service, three-year license revocation.

John A. Larsen, 62, address unavailable; DUI; $250 fine, plus fees.

Khadijah Plunkett, 26, Haiku; DUI (second offense); $1,000 fine, plus fees, 240 hours of community service.

Ryan Rujke, 29, Kahului; DUI; $250 fine, plus fees, two-year license revocation.

Lahaina District Court:

Druce Hwang, 41, Napili; DUI; $250 fine, plus fees.
