COVID-19 at a Glance

Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 163 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 99 on Oahu, 18 on Maui, nine on Hawaii island, four on Kauai and 33 residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 39,649 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 29,036 on Oahu, 5,042 in Maui County (4,846 on Maui, 115 on Lanai and 81 on Molokai), 3,508 on Hawaii island and 480 on Kauai. A total of 1,583 residents have been diagnosed out of state.

• One new death was reported Wednesday, an Oahu man in his 50s who had underlying conditions and died at home.

The statewide fatality count is now at 524, including 406 on Oahu, 57 on Maui, 56 on Hawaii island, two on Kauai and three residents who died out of state.

• As of Wednesday, 61 percent of all residents in Honolulu County had completed their vaccination process, followed by 59 percent in Kauai County, 55 percent in Hawaii County and 53 percent in Maui County.
