Felicia fizzles into post-tropical cyclone
Rapidly weakening as it approached Hawaii, Felicia became a post-tropical cyclone as it entered the Central Pacific on Tuesday.
Located about 995 miles east-southeast of Hilo as of 5 p.m., Felicia had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and was moving west-southwest at 16 mph, which was expected to continue over the next couple of days, according to the National Hurricane Center.
It was expected to weaken slightly Tuesday night then remain steady through Thursday.
No coastal watches or warnings were in effect.
