Council member on medical leave
Maui County Council Member Tasha Kama has taken an extended medical leave, Council Chairwoman Alice Lee announced Monday.
“Council Member Kama has indicated she plans to return to her council duties as soon as possible, including her role as chair of the Human Concerns and Parks Committee,” Lee said in a news release. “We wish her the best and look forward to her return.”
Kama is the presiding officer pro tempore and is in her second term holding council’s Kahului residency seat.
Her staff will still be available to provide assistance in the interim and may be reached at (808) 270-5501 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Phone messages and emails are checked throughout each workday.
