FIRST PHOTO: A helicopter drops golf balls onto the Maui Lani Golf Course on Friday afternoon as part of a fundraiser for the Maui Nurses Scholarship Foundation to support the University of Hawaii Maui College Nursing Program and Maui Memorial Medical Center nurses’ continuing education. SECOND PHOTO: Hale Makua Health Services, a major donor to the event, was the grand prize winner after three balls fell into the hole and members of the scholarship foundation board randomly drew one ball to earn the prize, an all-expense-paid, five-night stay, luxury ski trip to Keystone, Colo., including air and hotel. THIRD PHOTO: Nurses with Maui Health System, also a major donor, will benefit from the event, which raised more than $35,000. The goal is to reach $50,000 with the addition of the proceeds of a silent auction that remains open until 4 p.m. Sunday. To participate, visit www.32auctions.com/MNSF.
