Animal control grants deadline extended

The deadline to apply for grants for feral animal control programs has been extended to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 1, Maui County announced Friday.

Since Oct. 1, the Department of Housing and Human Concerns has been taking applications from qualified private nonprofit and for-profit organizations providing or planning to provide island-specific services and programs for the control of feral animals within Maui County.

The deadline was extended by one day to fall on a regular work day, the county explained.
