Maui Humane Society donation drive begins

Maui Humane Society is organizing a donation drive for dog and cat food and supplies which began on Friday and runs through Oct. 31 as part of its 4EverPets program, a community outreach initiative that helps financially impacted pet owners provide the basics for their pets to avoid having to surrender them.

The 4EverPets food bank has distributed almost 100,000 pounds of food across Maui County, but supplies are running low.

Businesses, schools, community groups and individuals can participate by hosting their own pet food drives on behalf of the 4EverPets pet food bank. Participating businesses or groups who host food drives will be invited to bring their donations to Maui Humane Society at the conclusion of the event to weigh their total donation, take a group picture for social media and determine who raised the most contributions.
