Public’s help sought in Makawao theft

Police are asking for the public’s help in investigating a weekend burglary and theft of a truck, generator and tools from the Eddie Tam Complex in Makawao.

A secured area of the county parks division at the complex was broken into between 9 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday, police said.

The stolen items included a 2019 white Ford F-150 truck with license CM 2743, 13 Stihl trimmers or weed wackers, a Stihl backpack leaf blower, a Dewalt generator, Dewalt drills, an impact driver, a Sawzall, angle grinder, hammer drill, skill saw, finishing nail gun and stereo.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call police at 244-6400 and refer to Maui Police Department report #21-036403.
