COVID-19 at a Glance

Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 176 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 102 cases on Oahu, 25 on Kauai, 21 on Hawaii island, 13 on Maui and 15 residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 84,578 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 58,058 on Oahu, 11,143 in Hawaii County, 9,958 in Maui County (9,572 on Maui, 242 on Molokai and 144 on Lanai) and 2,691 on Kauai. A total of 2,728 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

• Three new deaths were reported Wednesday; the statewide fatality count is now at 919.

• Honolulu County is averaging 55 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 1.6 percent, followed by Hawaii County at 23 cases and 2.5 percent, Kauai County at 15 cases and 3.1 percent and Maui County at 15 cases and 1.8 percent.

• Hawaii has reached a 71.5 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 74 percent, Kauai and Hawaii counties at 67 percent and Maui County at 64 percent.
